Kerensky’s Exodus and the Long Road to the Pentagon Worlds

Aleksandr Kerensky’s Exodus began in 2784 when much of the surviving Star League Defense Force abandoned the Inner Sphere rather than become a weapon in the coming struggle among the Great Houses. This episode follows an extraordinary migration of soldiers, families, technicians, scientists, ships, and industrial equipment into unexplored space. The journey tested logistics and loyalty as thousands of vessels crossed unknown systems, endured shortages and mechanical failures, and survived the Prinz Eugen mutiny. Eventually, scouts discovered the five marginally habitable systems that became Arcadia, Babylon, Circe, Dagda, and Eden—the Pentagon Worlds. There the exiles attempted to build the Star League in Exile while demobilizing an enormous military population and creating permanent colonies. Kerensky succeeded in removing his army from the Succession Wars, but distance could not erase the political loyalties and grievances his followers carried with them.
