The Free Rasalhague Republic: Freedom Before the Storm
The Free Rasalhague Republic gave the Rasalhagian people something generations of resistance had sought: an independent state between the Lyran Commonwealth and Draconis Combine. Created in 3034 from worlds released by both powers, the Republic also served the strategic interests of Theodore Kurita and ComStar by creating a buffer along a volatile frontier. This episode examines the political bargain behind independence and the immediate crisis that followed when hardline Combine officers rejected the decision and became the ronin. The young KungsArmé was forced into combat almost as soon as the state existed, with Theodore ultimately helping destroy the rebellious forces he had denounced.
